Today is the primary election for Indiana and I have a special campaign to push. First, go to the polls this morning and vote for the person who for the remainder of the year is gonna act like an EPIC retard for the Democrats. (The Republicians already picked McCain to act as their EPIC retard.) After that comes a even more pressing matter as it is the civic duty of anybody with a funnybone to go to your store of choice and buy MST3K The Movie on DVD as it came out today! I did my civic duty and picked it up the moment Wal-Mart stocked it! If you like kittens and rainbows then you'll love this film and even if you don't there's a good chance that you'll still like this!

The writing is far more intelligent than Scary Movie lol

I prefer various episodes of the show over the movie, but the movie is still grand.

My political bit was actually a reference to Rifftrax where they blasted national conventions for political parties for being 'retard-a-thons.' I should have figured though that the humor would be lost. Anybody who knows about the candidates positions can quickly figure out which one I'll never support as long as I live. (Here's a hint for those not in the know!)

Also, I don't really see why you would compare Scary Movie to MST3K cause Scary Movie is gutter trash compared to the greatness that is Tom Servo, Crow T. Robot, and Joel/Mike!

I know nothing about MST3K. Scary Movie was hilarious though. The first and third but not the second.

Um, Scary Movie is more parodies and gags. MST3K is a much different beasts as it directly riffs the films in question. I whole-heartedly recommend doing a youtube search as all episodes that have not been commercially released are allowed to be on there. (Best Brains has a Keep Circulating the Tapes policy which was partially responsible for the MST3K Digital Archive Project's birth.)

I tuned in to MST3000 a few times on Sci-Fi a long time ago.
Back in those young'n days, I didn't get almost any of the humor...I can see it being funny to me now though. Maybe I'll check out a few episodes...
