Don't worry. I live in just about the only place in Fort Wayne that DOESN'T have FiOS. On the bright side, the availablity of FiOS locally has caused Comcast to offer rather decent cable modems, which I can get.

For all of you stuck with AT&T for local phone, I'm sorry. Not that Verizon is a whole lot better, but because U-Verse is only designed to provide TV and such, not decent internet access. Way to cheap out and run copper the last 30 feet to the actual premise...

lul. I would be happy with our sbc dsl, besides the shitty upload, but ever since we've gotten it it disconnects about 12 or 13 times a day. talked to various techs and nobody can figure it out. found one tech on a forum that has been pretty helpful and has really looked into it, were still working on it. we have tried quite literally everything but my longest uptime ever has to be about 14 hours, fucking ridiculous

Isn't Fort Wayne one of only a few cities in the COUNTRY to have FiOS? I thought they chose it as like a test city.
But it is indeed awesome, upload is HUGE.

Mine has been going in and out a lot recently, within the last 2 months really. And sometimes it's really weird, like I can talk on Ventrilo or play CS:S, but it won't load internet pages.... I don't really know what's up. We bought a new Router cuz Comcast told us it was a router problem, but it's still acting up (albeit it doesn't go dead for as long).

Muncie is one of the most expensive places in the US to get broadband so I just want any kind of competition to come in and break the Ma Bell Comcast cartel going on here. I doubt it will happen though since this town has no fucking brainpower at all!
