If I recall correctly, BMUS applies the same letter grade thresholds to money score (the score out of 200,000). However, since that score includes points for goods and even bads, it's much easier to get a higher letter grade. It's entirely possible to get a AAA on BMUS scoring that isn't even an A by Japanese scoring.

The IIDX community has pretty much standardized on EX score, since that's how letter grades have worked since they were introduced on Japanese IIDX (with 5th style, IIRC). BMUS does use EX score for expert courses, I think.

Yeah, you're right IIRC...although, the biggest difference I've ever had between a BMUS grade and a VJarmy grade was two letter grades (i.e. AAA->A) and even that was rare and only at the very edges of both grades.
