Indy Groove: Friday Get-Together (9/21)

I could try to make a logo of some sort...I've dabbled in some sig-making ventures before, and it would make me feel like I'm somehow involved. Any particular themes or elements you would like it to have? (Also, I won't be back to my home computer until prolly sometime next week, so mine may take a while.)

I also was going to try and make a logo, but since all three of us have kinda stepped up and said "let's make a logo," let's all try a different style and see what works out.

Dan, I'll tell you first off what I was picturing, and see if you like it or not. I was just going to try to place the "In the Groove" text on a separate cool blue background, but replace "In the" with "Indy." I know the text font (or believe I do), it should be "Impact," with all lowercase letters.

However, we can try and make it like the current ItG logo, or something completely different. An idea I had was to get whatever logo we had, and take a group picture of ourselves, then turn that photo into a black silouhette, with our names under each likeness.

Your ideas?

Sorry im kindah relegated to lurker since ican only make like 5 posts a day.

Im not really good with the digital medium but i can draw something up. I was thinking of spelling it out in the 3d Jetgrind radio style. If i did it would be nice if someone would take up my rough sketch and clean it up and color it via the "Photoshop" Or as i like to call it the "Leetshop".

for a little idea of what i mean...

If we can get a picture of the "In The Groove 2", then it'd be easy. That was my original idea, use the same font just make it say Indy Group instead of In The Groove.

so here's the idea i had for the tshirts. I realize I messed up on the back logo afterwards. I accidently made it say indy GROUP instead of GROOVE. I guess either are acceptable though. With the ITG font people will understand if it said Group.

the only thing is, we'd actually edit the ITG logo and make it look pretty. Not have letters and x's drawn out on Paint.

The "In The Groove" idea, no matter how good it looks, is obvious and unoriginal. I'd like some originality to be involved with this (not that what I say matter much since I'm not part of it, but anyway...), more like Ryu's idea...or at most, keep the same font, but not everything exactly the same.

And Indy Groove sounds better than Indy Group.

Thank you. I think saying "group" throws out the whole pun, despite the fact it means we are a group.

I'll get started on my design later. I'm going to make some custom stepfiles for this week, and then catch some sleep.

Please at least ask for permission before you go plastering the IndyDDR logo on things.
