That movie was Hollywood's shameful attempt to buy into an artsy medium with the help of a few muscled hotties and half-witty one liners.
But the truth of the matter is that, like most Emo culture does, it is trendy to hate on anything with a high budget that people enjoy.
Hello contradiction!
Fight club kicked ass. It could have been my mother and Joe Dirt as the actors, it still kicked ass.
Nah. I'm not the emo type. I just know a bad movie when I see one. It doesn't take a bunch of 12 year olds on IMDB clicking 10 to convince me to make soap.
For shameful plot design and overall poor execution, fight club gets a 1...
I was disappointed with Zodiac.... I loved Fincher's Se7en, guess I was hoping this would be on the same level. Too long, too dull, didn't go anywhere, which is cuz of the fact it's a true story, but eh. Just too long and too uneventful.

out of 5.
If you honestly think the movie is about blowing things up, making soap and fighting... then you haven't even really seen the movie for it's real meaning.

I don't think he claimed any of those things, really. I wouldn't guess that he didn't -get- it, but he rather -got it but didn't enjoy it as much as everyone else-.
i think fight club was better as a book than a movie. a lot of the emotion wasn't carried out properly in the movie and they fagged up the ending really badly. in the book they were pulling a kaczynski by blowing up all things technological and reverting back to nature. they were going for all museums, bank institutions among other things with their 'big bang'

I did watch this movie with my roomates. It was top tier.
I believe this movie was more of a social service to bring common ground to both hetrosexual and homosexual men.
Barechested, ripped, scantly clad men to appeal to homosexuals.
Bloody, barbaric violence to appeal to hetrosexuals.
They tried to something like this before with brokeback mountain, but the story was too touchy feely to get the point across, the premise of cowboys and buttsecks was a great concept it was just poorly executed.
I think this is a sign of things to come in the movie industry to brigde the gap between the social homo/hetro dynamic.
That being said, I can't wait for "Chicks with Dicks versus the Thunderdome" to come out to theaters.
This may not be the best movie....but it is the best of the genre ever! Seriously most epic war movies have long boring talk scenes about the emperor dying or a kingdom they are persueing all stretched out into a 2 hour 45 minute or even 3 and half hour movie....how long is this movie 2 HOURS...and it is good and not boring....of epic war movies this is the best EVER!!!!!
