I know I'm not really one of the 'old timers' of IndyDDR or anything, but I like to believe I was around during some of the best times, and I traveled the state fairly well to play the games and meet some of the people. And I hate to say it, but yeah, I miss friday nights at Westside, and big tuesdays at Gameworks, and random weekends down in Bloomington. Oh well, people get older, and priorities switch.
But as always, I'm up for just about any get-together I can get to realistically, especially if it's not extremely short notice. I love tuesday nights out with the pump guys, even if the get togethers are a bit small, we always have a good time.
On that note though, Clint, if you plan some event, DDR related or not, and give me enough heads up to request off work, unless I already have plans(i.e. March 11th-16th I'll be in Tampa, Florida, woo!) I can guarantee I'll be there. It's been far too long since I've seen the Bloomington crew.
Anyone interested in a non DDR-centric event?

That's basically what I'm trying to figure out, while my househould isn't conducive to crazy fun party time anymore (thin walls, crappy neighbors), I'm trying to figure out what people might want to plan in advance for and attend; once I get an idea of what people want to do, I'll probably look into the hosting options that hotels and whatnot in the area could provide as far as space goes. I'm open to all ideas; currently I'm thinking of looking at ways that we could host general gaming gatherings... ie, we take out a space for a night, hook up as many tvs and game consoles as possible and just have fun, whatever. I know, while people are enticed to show up for tournaments, many of us just want to hang out with a group of people we enjoy and have fun nowadays.
The problem in coordinating this effort is that it would take both interested people and some sort of donation system to get the balls rolling; while I just got the remainder of my student loan for this semester, I can't take this on singularly. I think I could option both Chad, Riot and Merk's place for after party events, as well as my own (noise violations be damned), and we have numerous people down here that I don't forsee taking issue with having a few overnight guests...Whatever we end up with, I just want to see this happen and for people to be happy with it.
