I can't believe what passes as news nowadays... I threw up a bit in my mouth when I saw it.

*Cue "Ghost Love" by Nightwish, it's an...*
Epic Jeff LaFave Manuever!
Here's my story today. I was on the way to school, not having a bad day, but things took a turn. With all the fog this morning, it took me super-long to get to school. I got about 3/5 of the way to school, running a tad late, when I realized that I had forgotten my backpack. Just great.
So I make a turnaround, and drove quickly through ice and fog to get home really quick. I run inside, but walking slowly on my icy driveway, and get my backpack. I head back out, and forget the ice was there.
SLIP!
WHAM!
I landed hard on one leg, scraping up both of my hands in the process. Looking at my pant leg, I could see that my khakis were stained and I had no more time to change pants.
I managed to get to school alright and on time (last parking spot in the close lot =]), so things gradually got better throughout the day. However, I had to go through the day with muddy (and bloody) khakis, seen below:

and the wound itself...

Not a great day...

I wish I could find some pictures of my arm after I fractured it freshman year.... I didn't want to go to the hospital (I didn't know it was fractured at the time) so I wrapped it with socks and an ace bandage and went three days with it fractured.... I'm a beast and never forget it...
