Contemplating leavin Indiana
I have been thinking ALOT about it and I am thinking about leaving Indiana....after this next semester I we be able to transfer into an actual college finally. And I have been thinking about going elsewhere for college. I have been thinking alot about going somewhere far from here and not somewhere that everyone else goes to...where I know no one and be alone and meet new people. Anyone have any ideas why I shouldn't?.....don't say my family lives here cause I don't like my family driving me nuts all the time, they want to know what my love life is like and on and on.....I guess I am just seeing what you guys think....it isn't set in stone...but I was curious what your guys' and gals' thoughts are.

THAT EXPLAINS EVERYTHING.lgolem wrote:I have been thinking about if since my junior year of HS....just thinking about it more since I will be done at Ivy Tech by the end of this upcoming spring
You're an Ivy Tech student. XD And the only reason I have a right to laugh is because I'm an Ivy Tech student, too. (Up here in Fort Wayne, o' course).
For a long time, I really wanted to get out of here, too. It sounds drastic and dramatic, but I've come to terms with living here, and I think it's alright now. At some point here, I'll move on. But it's not heavy on my mind.
Really, though, going to college at Ivy Tech doesn't do any justice to the college experience. If you get your degree and decide to go to a college out of state that would suit your major very well, go for it. I'm personally not very good with meeting and friending new people quickly, so the idea of going somewhere far away where I don't know anybody scares me quite a bit. n_x But if it's something that sounds like you, and you have admirable intentions behind it, I don't see why you should be held back.
No more eggs!
An actual signature will come soon, I suppose.

That does make a lot of sense. With being at Ivy Tech, I haven't had to take out any student loans or anything. So I know that going anywhere else, I'll have to take them out. That is a big factor, and it's good that you've considered it.lgolem wrote:$$$....if I go through this I will have to take out student loans so after college I will be in ALOT of debt. That is THE thing that is holding me back.Mosh_Mosh_Revolution wrote:....I don't see why you should be held back.

....you like attention dont you?
And please tell me this "sudden" idea of moving from Indiana isnt about a girl.
Anyway, if you move then you move, dont let us tell you wether staying here is worth it or not....its not like we're going to be picking up our lives and move with you.
I wanted for awhile to get fuck out of here (was moving to London) but after awhile I thought it was retarded, and no matter how much I argue with my family I still miss them, and I like the thought that if something goes wrong Im only 15 mins away not 15903420934792387493 MILES away.

On another note....I found a college I like...it is in Montana....MSU in Billings Montana. They are known for the education program which is good (seeing as I want to become a US History or Economics Teacher)...and the city around it is big but not to big...they have a mall with an ITG2 machine in it so I can still dance ^_^ get really good come back and woop all of yall in the summer.
