Gasp! Arka made a grammatical error?

Should be 'I'.
No, it should be 'me' - at least if I want the quote to be correct.

Huh?

(Me) already know and (me...is? am?) already bloody jealous.

OR

(I) already know and (I am) already bloody jealous.

No, no. The quoted part was "And by 'we' I of course mean 'me.'"

Though actually, it may have been "meant" in the original. Great, now I have to go look it up. BRB...

Still not sure if I'm understanding you here...yes, the quoted part you speak of is "And by 'we' I of course mean 'me.'". But you were referring to the original part, which was "We already know and we're already bloody jealous. You don't have to rub it in." So, it is a logical assumption that since you stated that by "we" you meant "me", you were referring to replacing the "We"s in the original statement with "Me"s, which would thereby make the original statement grammatically incorrect. If you had stated that "by 'we' I of course mean 'I'," that would make the original statement correct after the replacement procedure occurs.

"And by we, I of course mean me" is a pop culture quote. Altering the sentence to read "And by we, I of course mean I" would have made the substitution grammatically correct (we is to I as us is to me), but it would have made the quote incorrect because it would no longer have matched the original. So I flipped a coin.

Of course, I was wrong anyway - I've now checked, and the original WAS "And by we, I of course meant me." So I failed to preserve the quote anyway.

Some of you at least recognize the reference anyway, though, right?

If you really want to discuss the issue further, though, I do think we should take it to PM. MonMotha's probably (rightfully) getting ready to kick both our nitpicking asses.

Oh, shit, we're in MonMotha's brag thread, aren't we? Oops  . Well, you see, my problem was that I didn't get the pop culture reference...where does it come from if I may ask? If I'd have known what you were referring to, I wouldn't have corrected you.

If neither of the above apply, you are normal. Congratulations.

Sorry, I know they're old scores and you're better than me; but I just have to bask in the glory of this:

Now go play those songs again and beat me like you should be doing.

Chung Hwa Ban Jeom (NM) [16] - A (Stage Break Pass, No Bar, 15 misses)

Oh, and Dan, I'm not likely to beat you in score on anything we can both pass. I generally play to pass harder stuff rather than score. I don't have a single AAA on IIDX and don't anticipate bothering to get one any time soon. Heck, most of my AAs are just barely so. I play Pump, for god's sake :)

Double Post!

Ok, I guess I lied. I got a AAA very soon after saying that, and a Perfect Combo (also my first) as well: 5.1.1. 7k (hehe, 7k).

I'm also now beating Dan on all but 2 songs: Love is Dreamyness and The Cube. Love is Dreamyness is ungodly hard to 1-hand for me (which is how almost all my L7 scores are done), and I'd have to load up 5th Style for The Cube (or un-shrinkwrap my copy of BMUS, I guess).

Bunches of other not-bad scores tonight, too.

New Exceed 2 High Score: 8,938,400 from Solitary 2, Eternity, BTBA, IGYAML. Broke combo on Eternity several times, too. This again takes the #1 spot on the X-Site machine.
