So today I bought a mortar & pestle (!), ground up some dried fruit (which was a heck of a lot harder than it sounds... eesh) and made fruit noodles. They were unlike anything I'd ever tasted before. I don't know if it was a good unlike or a bad unlike, but... unlike.
And MMR: wow. Wow. I so need to make that my avatar.

THIS IS ERIN. n_x
At Chris'.
That sounds really interesting, the fruit noodle bits...
You know what would be really delicious? Mashing up all the fruit and putting it in a cold noodle salad. Maybe with some fresh fruit, too. I think that they make fruit oils... You could use that. I think soy sauce would taste good with it, but that's because I'm weird...
Sounds like a very interesting thing to try, though.
Know what sounds good to me? Mashing up dried apricots with the noodles and some kind of peach, nectarine, or pineapple juice. ^o^

So I don't have nectarine juice in my 'fridge, but I do have peach and pineapple juice. I'm full now, though - further fruit noodle confections will have to wait until later (or tomorrow... or whenever I get around to it).
Peach and pineapple juice make everything better. Soy sauce... the jury is out.

Ooooooohmyyy....
Anyway..
Today I made a sammich at work that ended up being much tastier than I thought it'd be. Still stuck on the fruit idea, I concocted a wrap. It had cream cheese, honey mustard, raisins, sesame seeds, cashews, lettuce, carrots, and pineapple in it. n_n
When I was eating it, I also wondered how it would have tasted with peanut butter as well......
It was very tasty, though. n_n So much so, in fact, that I'm sure I'll make it again the next time I work.

An actual signature will come soon, I suppose.

Heh you should've let me know you wanted a mortar & pestle, I had 2 spares after O-chem lab last year. And I have about 5 nickel spatula spoonulas, I have no idea where they came fromArka wrote:So today I bought a mortar & pestle (!), ground up some dried fruit (which was a heck of a lot harder than it sounds... eesh) and made fruit noodles.
