Though you don't have to worry about the screws as much, Pump It Up requires you to move around the pad a good deal more than DDR/ITG and shift your weight at more of an angle. Because of this, it's a bit harder to keep from slipping without shoes. I still slip a little from time to time playing Pump, though I almost never slip with a four button game.Ho wrote:At least Pump has the advantage of not having raised screw heads to cut up your un-shoed feet the way DDR would.Mosh_Mosh_Revolution wrote:So while I was there the other night, I played a round. Wasn't wearing my shoes, so it didn't work all that well. -.-

Come closer, I have a secret for those that slip easy on the pad. Closer.. closer.. too close.. {{pushes you back a bit}}. Okay, now that everyone is here...
Go to your local craft shop and pick up one of the white erasers. Try to find one that is a bit grainy and will flake off (kinda like an art gum eraser). This will make those buttons sticky and give you more grip so you don't fall over as easy. The one I have is triangular. So if there are multiple ones there, get the triangular one.
