Zombies are lacking of that...they have no emotion, no fear.
Theoretically, they're drawn by anything that stands out...light,
sound, etc...and well, fire tends to stand out. I have a hunch that
lighting a large fire would only draw hordes of them to your
location.
Secondly, the only way to kill a zombie is to destroy it's brain...and it
would take a long time for fire to actually eat through a zombie enough
to scorch it's brain matter. Electricity might work, if it's a high enough voltage to say...cook the brain. And hey, that just sounds fun!
I'm confused on that topic about zombies.... so zombies don't have a functioning brain (theoretically) then why does destroying their brain kill them? (I know this is typical of zombie movies but it doesn't make much sense)... That's like saying I'd die if you shot off my appendix.... well I guess I could... if it got infected... but that's not the point....
The brain is what is keeping the zombie 'alive,' in a sense, but it is not operating on a human level. The zombie brain is not capable of conscious thought of any form, and is driven only by the urge to feed, and is attracted to it's source of food in various ways, though no one actually knows what senses they use specifically to 'hunt.'
