Well with E3 happening VERY soon I'm ancy in my pants. I just saw a video for the next nintendo. I reccomend you watch it. http://onefed.com/media/NintendoON.wmv
Makes me wonder if xbox 360 is really worthwhile..I mean yeah, if you're into online fps it seems like xbox 360 will be your choice but past that..
ps3 i just want to know what the fuck the specs are at least the new ninty system has some proposed "leaked" specs!
I became skeptical when the video mentioned the Virtual Boy. Nintendo has pretty much swept that under the rug and doesn't mention it, so I was surprised to see it mentioned in a promotional video.
yeah but with a system like that it'd seem retarded to not tote the virtual boy since it is a virtual boy on crack...if that's a fake then JESUS. it looks like some sort of movie they'd show opening the e3 show like they did with the mario demo on gcube
remember the ridicule the xbox got for being the biggest system?... if the PS3 is big then we xbox fans can just poke fun about that to them haha ... all three systems i belive will be extremely powerfull... its not going to be so much a battle of the consoles themselves... but more the games...
the new xbox live looks extremely promiseing though... cant wait
the xbox 360 is "3" "g5s" (a ppc custom by ibm that's 64 bit)
the ps3 is 1 cell controlled by a "g5" (a bank of 7 software controlled threads controlled by a custom ppc..i believe 970 but i can't remember)
the thing is the ps3 is 1 processor, the same speed rating and has 2x the amount of power that the 3 xbox 360 cores have. All I can say is wow!
cell technology also has the added benefit that if you own a cell-based HDTV you can plug it into your PS3 and they will share processors. If either needs more power, the two will provide what's needed for one another. Manufacturers are working on integrating Cell technology into home audio components and eventually into the computer world.
the ps3 was smart and is using rambus backed memory. this stuff is nuts. far more powerful than ddr3. the ps3 also has a lot more memory bandwidth.
microsoft is toting xbox 360 as the game revolution where everything will be digital. the console can do HD resolutions varrying from SD (480p) up to 1080i HD 5.1 sound. ps3 on the other hand can support from 480p up to 1080p HD 5.1 sound. The difference between interlaced and progressive is that interlaced signals skip every-other line when drawing the picture. A progressive signal is harder to drive because each line is drawn when drawing every frame like how a computer handles an image. This requires *a lot* more power and also makes the image *much* prettier.
not trying to dick ride the ps3, just trying to put how powerful it is into perspective
edit: i also forgot that ps3 can drive 2 hd monitors at 1080p. 32:9 ws on dual HD projectors...i'd die happy
The hardware is certainly impressive, but I'm more concerned about the games. Hardwore, no matter how jizzworthy it is, won't mean much if they don't get games that can utilize it properly.
We already know there's gonna be a new Halo game for the new X Box, that's pretty obvious....any word on games yet, or is that info still under lock and key?
I'm curious to see what they release for the PS3. I've always been a playstation fan...In my opinion, they get the best games for my taste in gaming, where as the other systems just didn't have much that appealed to me.
Whether it will stay this way, who knows. It'll be interesting to see where all the games go though.
Microsoft is going to die this time around.
PS3 is going to pretty much own the other two systems with graphics, Gamecube is going to own X-crate with the wifi free access and the dlable games from past systems.
the 360 is going under.
