One of the people I work with is going, they are like professional cosplayers. They spend LOTS of time and money into this hobby. It should be pretty easy to find them, they will have a giant Alphonse Elric guy with them.

On a side note, get a hold of the subbed Fullmetal alchemist episodes. Cartoon Network is showing terrible dubbs. This series actually made me cry a couple of times. It is that good.

I will be at ACen, but I will be involved with the AMV events the whole weekend. Me and my friend Jay are doing a panel at noon on Saturday in the main AMV room (I'm not sure which room it is, but it should be in the schedule. It'll be called "Koop & Atom's Indie AMV Panel"). So, come and check it out. It'll be fun :) Also, come to one of the showings of the AMV contest. My video is in the drama category which is normally shown first. It'll be under the name AtomX, and the title of the video is "Be There", set to the song "See You Soon" by Coldplay, using various anime.

I was going to go this year, but being out a job for a few months stopped that idea cold. I dont even have a costume. I hope everyone going has fun though!

I would go to ACEN except for the following two reasons:
  1. It's the weekend between the end of classes and finals for me, and I have two finals on Monday, the first starting at 8AM
  2. I'm already going to be in Dayton for Hamvention that weekend, where I had boatloads of fun last year
Since I'm not too big into anime, all I'd really be able to do is hang out in the game room and with friends. No doubt fun, but missing the point of the convention, and this way I get to meet some friends who have graduated from Rose and I don't get to see very often.

I wish everyone who is going a fun time though! And anyone who's going to be at Hamvention (all zero of you, I suspect), call KC9EVR on 147.51MHz with a PL of 151.4 and we can meet up!
A normality test:
+++ATH
If you are no longer connected to the internet, you need to apply more wax to your modem: it'll make it go faster.
If you find this funny, you're a nerd.
If neither of the above apply, you are normal. Congratulations.

Well, just found out that the AMV showing in Main Programming has just been moved back to the main AMV room :\ So, that sucks.. But, the main AMV room is in a different place this year, and it's a bigger room and is more sound proof, so that's a plus. But, we were all still hoping for the Main Programming room for the main showing, if only so we weren't having to compete with whatever's taking that timeslot there in terms of an audience (if that makes any sense)

Bleh, I really doubt I'm going to be able to go. Money problems. >_< I've got a circle of friends heading up there though.

I'm probably going to be there next year. I was thinking about dressing up at Stephen Hawking, for no particular reason. =Þ
