Things to be thankful for

Post by UberAvonDancer »

Maybe I'm overly sentimental, but I like to think about what all I have to be thankful for. So if you feel like being sappy with me, post what your thankful for.

I'm thankful for wonderful family I have.
I'm thankful for my great friends.
For all the chances I've gotten in life
For all the good times I've had.
I'm thankful for my health, my loved ones and their health, and I'll always be thanful for my mom.

I'm thankful that it's not Thanksgiving.
I'm thankful that I don't have my family breathing down my neck to come up with something that they would approve of me being thankful for.

>_<

That out of the way, here's what I'm really thankful for.

I'm thankful for my family. All of them. As a catchall, it's a given, etc. I love them, let's move on.

Honestly, though, this is going to sound lame as hell, but I'm thankful the very most for my friends. Especially the friends that I've made since I started playing DDR. I started playing about a month after I graduated high school, and I don't know what I would be doing now without the friends I made around the machine and over the board. Almost all of my high school friends went away to college, leaving me here, and I'm so thankful that there are people willing to, out of the blue, pull one more person into their group.

To the Fort crew: Thank you. I owe you all more than I can say.
No more eggs! :D
An actual signature will come soon, I suppose.

I hate to copy, but you basically hit all the main ones I'd say..

I'd be truely thankful if my tooth would stop hurting and all these big bites to stop itching...;-;

Man, its really nice to focus on being thankful on a day other than Thanksgiving. I truly have alot to be thankful for.

A supporting, loving and caring family,
A great school where I've learned alot, both spiritually and academically.
A funny and brotherly group of friends up on my floor, and a core group I can truly be genuine around,
A girlfriend who means the world to me,
Many chances for growth,
and many second chances.

I'm thankful for:

-my family
-my friends
-my intelligence
-my integrity
-the ability to be an openly-gay male and not give a fuck who knows it, because the western world is, by and large, tolerant of my lifestyle
-my level-headedness
-toronto, for existing, so that I could have been brought up in the best city in the world, whom i am returning to soon
-the fact that I dumped my loser-ass boyfriend

More than happy to oblige Erin...

That being said...

As hard as it has been this last few days to watch, I'm thankful my grandfather is done suffering from his terrible cancer that I watched destroy him from the inside out. It was a long and depressing matter that I shall never forget. I hope that he simple realizes how much my family and I love him dearly and knows that even though my son didn't get to know his grandfather personally...He still loved him. I'm thankful for the beautiful wife and son I was blessed with and the opportunity God has given me to evolve into the Father that I always knew my own as. And lastly, certainly not leastly, I'm also thankful for the friends that I've made not only in the Fort but all over in Indiana playing DDR and know always you guys, that even though I'm not an avid player anymore, you're still my friends and I'll always be around to help you if you need me.

- XeRo

P.S. - If anyone was wondering what I was so depressed about, you now have your answer and know that it is over for me and I'm now going to have to deal with the grieving that follows.

as much as I miss him,,, Im thankful my dad doesnt have to suffer anymore
hard to believe its almost been a year.

anyway

Oh
And i'm thankful for all of you :P
cause you're all freakin crazy!

I'm thankful for all my friends, family, and co-workers that help me every day, I'm thankful for warm & dry boots, thankful for the huge tank that I drive, and thankful for DDR and PUI cause without those, I wouldn't have met anyone when I first jumped on the DDR bandwagon back in 2001...now where is that friggin oscar!

I'm thankful for-

My artistic/creative interests

My friends and loved ones

Not being part of the 'ignorant masses'

My job...lame, yeah. But I'd be nowhere without it.
