Minimaid without a cabinet

Long story short, I dun goofed. Despite my best efforts at measuring and my insistence that the machines will fit down stairs, movers are unwilling to take on the burden of moving DDR and Taiko into my basement. Unfortunately, a walk-out basement is out of the picture at this point. There are a few options on the table including:

1. Disassembling parts of the wood frame, then reassembling back in the basement.
2. Selling games.
3. Trying to keep the 'controllers' (DDR pads) and hook them up to a PC/TV combo.

Regarding number 3, is that something that's feasibly done using a Minimaid? Ideally, the connection would go something like Pads -> Umbilical -> ??? -> minimaid -> PC. I have enough fun playing DDR, that I'd rather have a cobbled together experience than no experience at all.

Worst case scenario, I don't have to give up the hobby because there's a really cool arcade just up the road.

Yes, you can do this. The pads just need 12V for power, and I think the wiring harness will come apart enough that you won't even have to cut anything apart to do it. You'll need to make a stand-in for the start/select buttons. One option would be to just use the panel off the DDR machine (it comes off on its own pretty easily) and built a support for it out of wood or something.

Excellent. Thanks for the help. It's going to help a great deal with evaluating what to do next.

Oh, one more thing. If you want your start/select buttons to light up, you'll need the amp/lamp control box or at least one board out of it. Nothing you don't already have, though.

Why does that arcade have Pendual but not any DDR newer than SN2? I would expect an arcade with a bunch of up-to-date Bemani games to be as up-to-date as possible in all Bemani games.

Pendual is likely a hack and everything else is legit would be my guess. Pendual had Premium Free unlocked without any e-amuse which I assume is not possible without some sort of hackery going on but I know jack shit when it comes to legit arcade Beet so don't take my word for it!

Best IIDX cabinet I've ever played on by the way. The keys were really clicky but didn't have a super amount of resistance and the turntable had just the right amount of looseness and it had the little grip tape on it that you see everywhere in Japan. It was also on a CRT so I didn't need to fuck with the timing offset at all which was really nice!
