Investigating looking for a machine for school

YO. I'm thinking of pursuing a DDR machine to add to the school I teach at's workout room for students/teachers. I don't know much, if anything, about the electrical innards or repair, but if anybody sees any good deals on machines being sold in the state, or if any of you ever look to get rid of one of your machines for a good cause, let me know. I'd like to incorporate a machine into our physical education class, after school workout options for teachers and students, and possible fundraiser activities for our school/charity. We are always doing other fundraisers for Riley, and having a DDR-A-Thon style event with the affluent parents in our district could be great! So yeah, if anybody has suggestions on possible leads on quality/decently priced machines that go up for sale, or general things to look out for in trying to campaign for getting a machine (and then getting it shipped and set up), let me know.

Maybe Putt Putt or Tokens n Tickets will go out of business soon... =/

What exactly in DDR could be considered a workout?

They are not too hard to get nowadays, you can generally find one on eBay for $3,000 and if you scout around the local market or on Sows or something you can find one for a LOT cheaper. Putt-Putt and TnT aren't going to give up their machines but Lazer X or one of the bowling alleys might, assuming they even own their machines.

$1,500 for an Extreme cabinet, ships from South Dakota, no idea if getting a UHaul (road trip!) or having the item shipped would be cheaper but you could potentially get a DDR cabinet for less than $2,000! If I had a place to put it I would honestly consider getting it!

Riot, can your little school spare 2 Gs?

If I had a place to put this I'd probably get it:

DDR cabinet for $1,200. No buy it now price though so who knows what the reserve price could be!

There is no reserve price. "Reserve not met" would be clearly stated right under the current bid if there were.

I don't think Riot will go through with it. Some teacher will see the song Sexy Planet and it will be banned from public school. Just buy an Xbox and some whatever pads. Kids won't be good enough to know the difference, and your wallet will be about $1,000 heavier.
