I emailed their bookings guy to see what it might take to bring the show to Indy. We have plenty of hipster venues that like these films, and TILT (though the movie is pretty much rated R.) Is it a matter of money? Interest? Media hype?

All: Does anyone have any contacts for Indianapolis theaters that show these sorts of non-mainstream films?

I don't know much. But I think the fact that they're indie means that they don't have the distribution engine of the big studios. So I would think that the this sort of grassroots effort of someone like you making a connection between the promoters and some local venue is probably how it's done. Good luck!

Does Tilt even have a film projector? I thought they just had a regular ol' digital projector.

But anyway, fuck Tilt. We need to get this film to a hipster theater somewhere where it can be properly appreciated. If they really, really want a DDR tournament then yeah we'll have to go with Tilt.

I just watched this trailer again. It looks well produced. I checked IMDB, and it looks like they had a short with the same title a few years ago. I'm guessing this is an expansion on that.

IMDB lists both as comedy. The trailer makes me fear it takes itself a little too seriously. I'm definitely still in to see this though.

As a side note, I was unable to search for this thread because 'the' is too common a word and 'fp' is too short for phpBB search (it requires at least 3 characters).
