Sponsors for DDR

Wouldn't it be nice if a DDR player attract some major sponsor and inks a deal with them? Sort of like with Skateborders, Bikers, and other X game type of sport where they have sponsors who they have a contract under. The sponsors provide their clothing line, shoes, and other stuff for their respective "clients". I know its way out there for DDR to imagine, but its a thought! Give me your point of view about it. :)

Man...then there'd be rivalries.

Wendy's vs. KFC and stuff!

I dunno man...I'm seein' a West Side Story thing goin' on...

...although, IndyDDR could use a knife fight. hmm...

DDR is way too outdated for anything like that to happen.

Corporate sponsorships are what make me happy to be a blader.
They ruined skateboarding and biking. Companies like Right Guard aren't run by skateboarders, therefore they should have no place in that industry. They just use it as a marketing front.

I don't think a video game needs any sort of sponsorship except maybe Red Octane and Cobalt Flux giving pads for tourney prizes.

sellouts

that would make every1 who plays the game for fun call the people that are sponcered sell outs and then there wouldnt be any just "fun" play since all the sponcered people would become stuck up ddr players

Why is it always people who play for fun think that anyone that cares about scores is an elitest as*hat? Just like in any sport, there are people that take it more seriously than others. They should be praised, not scolded.

True that.

I'm tired of how tech players get bashed on for "not having fun with the game". I myself, and the majority of the PA'ers(tech players, whatever you call em) enjoy playing competitively and for scores. Achieving goals is fun.

I am against full company sponsorship, but sponsoring an event is okay. if they help the community I am totally fine with that; chances are if there are sponsored players the ddr scene will start to blow- and not get better.
