I've seen some people play in skate shoes, but a lot of people seem to play in running shoes too for some reason.
I stole whippin boy's shoes, they're lighter and the arrows at gw seem to register more often than when i played in my Emerica's

These guys, I like a flat shoe for DDR. And the way the rubber is on the sides I don't catch an edge on the panels like I do with my NB574's.
I really love CS:GO's 64 tick servers.

I play with my K-Swiss Defier RSs that I also use for tennis (they are made for tennis). I just thought eh, tennis is a sport, and DDR could be considered a sport, so yeah. Plus, with other shoes, I get blisters.

Right now, I play in New Balance 476. They are comfortable and have good grip, but they tear up easily. I've had these since Christmas and they have big holes on the outer sides. The sole is chipping off too. At the Bloomington PIU tourney, some people were doing insane stuff with just their feet (three button holds on Dignity CZ). They were wearing the Adidas Racer Low. I think I'll be giving those a shot once mine finally bust.
Yea, I'm like Mother Teresa, except I pwn.

I play in crappy beat up shoes... I will get new ones when they're on sale again...

on this first one you can see where a piece of rebar went through the shoe, luckily it poked out through the side rather than in my foot.

what was that old saying... "no tread on me"? I know it's don't tread on me, it was a pun you bastard

I did that to my first pair of PIU/skate shoes. I used them until the sole came off. I think they were an old pair of Adios.

2x post

Anyway, I decided to buy the Adidas Racer Lows. They are amazing (very light and LOTS of grip). If you play ITG or Pump, you'll probably love how easy it becomes to do 3 and 4 button presses with just your feet. The only downside is that they can cost ~$80. But if you have the cash to burn, I highly recommend these shoes.

I dunno ive been strong twards Vans over the past few years... I had a pair that I loved and they lasted a good two years but finnally I had to throw them away after this party..... some idiot threw up in em... so.. yea....

since then I have bought another two pairs of Vans which are amazing DDR shoes... I have a pair that is about a year old now that I bring with me to the arcade to play in... but I have played in the Vans I'm wearing now and... I dunno its just not the same

its like when your five and you lost your blankie... and your mom got you a new one.... but it just didnt have the cheese crusted in the corner like your old one so it could never be the same..... ya get it? haha

Well, I no longer play in socks except for freestyle. For everything else I now play barefoot. Yay! :D
