Don't worry, the DDR-A-Thon is not dead!
However, I'm not sure at all about any of the particulars of the event this year. For that matter, I'm not even sure it'll be in Bloomington! I have several ideas but nothing solid yet...
I'm organizing the PIU tourney that happens in late March, so chances are the DDR-A-Thon will be a bit later in the year this time around, probably in the summer.

Agreed. Summer is best for everyone. You wont have to worry about being back in your own home town on Sundays for school the next day.
