It's definitely looking awesome. Even though it's a 7-footer, I'm hyped for Murmur Twins, and Xephyr should be awesome. Internet linkup capability makes me happy too. Maybe that means there'll be an e-Amuse type system setup where we can download/enable other cool BEMANI ports.

That Fascination Maxx song though? Yeah, that's looking like total BS. I mean, from I can hear of the song, it sounds alright, but I want no part of those steps. I mean, it's even a 9-footer on light. Is that really necessary? Sheesh. o_O

Not that there's anything particularly revealing on it (except perhaps the mention of over 300 songs!), but here is a link to the official DDR:SN page from Konami:

As well as the official press release:

...and I thought Vertex^2 had retarded steps. :x

EDIT: I really hate how it's gone back to looking like 5th mix.

That interface style is what all of the current popular Bemani games (IIDX, Pop'n, DM/GF) use. I'm not sure about Dance 86.4 or Toy's March. The DDR 5th Mix and newer JP AC style works pretty well.

I think that interface is more conducive to multiple sorts which is what is required when you have songlists measuring in the 100s like IIDX, PnM, GF/DM and DDR:SN are planned to have. The interface that's been being used on the home version doesn't give as much readahead in the list, so you can't scroll as fast and still get to the song you want without overshooting. That's fine for a home version, but arcades are all about throughput.
A normality test:
+++ATH
If you are no longer connected to the internet, you need to apply more wax to your modem: it'll make it go faster.
If you find this funny, you're a nerd.
If neither of the above apply, you are normal. Congratulations.

I completely agree with you Shannon. Tho I don't really remember what 5th mix looks like. I just would really prefer either the MAX2 or the Extreme look and feel. Tho some if not most would say, if they stuck with the same look, then it wouldn't really show that they made an effort to make much of a new mix. Just taking the same thing and slappin' some new songs on it apparently isn't enough. I guess I'm curious what other people think about this. I was told that I'm "too stuck on Extreme." Is that so bad? I mean, I play ITG2 too...

And God, what's with the steps to Fascination MaxX?? They are nuts!
*waits for video of Kevbo and Lil Q AAA'ing them*
*counts down the days* .....
