Yo,

Don't feel bad, i started in '99 or '00 when 3rd mix was released, my only SDG is "Let the Beat Hit 'em!". I played it at a friend's for the first time on his Playstation, about a month later i purchased the origional Home Mix when it was released.

Don't feel bad. He's lying so hardcore. Mex is really good. And the fact that he does it all without shoes on makes him, like, dancer+1 or something like that.

So don't let him fool you. n_n
imho, someone playing barefoot is the nastiest fucking thing in the world.

Yep, he wears socks. Barefoot is really gross. But even when it comes down to socks, I know there's a lot of shoes I have that I can't play DDR in to save my life. And when I really, really feel like playing after I get off work and I don't have other shoes, socks are my only option. Personally, I can't play as long in socks. I have a narrow stature when I play, so my feet usually just hit the the arrows closer to the center metal square, so screwing up in socks really hurts, if you've seen the bolts they put in the pads. n_n Have had those imprinted via bruises into the soles of my feet before.
No more eggs! :D
An actual signature will come soon, I suppose.

I couldn't play without shoes on, I'd kill myself. I actually play wearing combat boots...I get shit about it all the time, but if I play in normal shoes, my feet hurt like 8 bitches in a bitch boat (thefted from GoR).
I guess it all just comes down to what you're used to.

And yeah, playing barefoot is uber gross...

How is barefoot gross? Whats worse, smelly stinky feet or what's been on the ground outside at home at work and or school? Given the option one or the other i'd lick someone's barefoot befor ehteir shoe.

Or maybe its gross for another reason, maybe if they step on a screw and bleed all over the place, or if they have fungus.

Not wearing shoes is public is a health hazard.

Any arcade that sees you playing without shoes has legal right to kick you out.

Just keep your damn shoes on. Why would you take them off for DDR anyway?

I wasn't talking about you specifically. I was talking about all those people who DO play w/out shoes.

I started playing about a year ago exactly, though I don't remember the date, at GameWorks! :P

Also, playing barefoot IS gross. Especially when it starts smelling like feet when the barefoot players play for a while.

Because it'd 10000X better without shoes on. Duh.

Besides, I clean the pads off with 409 before I play.

And no, it dosen't hurt. At all.

I don't know from personal experience, but I do know...that it doesn't hurt to play barefoot. I have this certain friend who always seems to show up to play with sandals on, and they never seem to complain much. And they always beat me too...so it can't be a hindrance. But I can see the possible health hazards of it.

*/edit* okay, so this person actually showed up one time, the last day before I left, with tennis shoes on...for once :P

Me, I have never played without shoes on...nope.

It seems I've forgotten when it was that I started playing...it's been ages...Quite disturbing to say the least now that you've got me thinking back. I'd say around 3 years.
