As a shameless plug, if you decide you need another pad or need to replace your current one (which is likely to happen with retail ones), I have a RedOctane Thin Pad for sale.

I don't know if you have Extreme or Extreme 2. US Extreme is considered by many to be somewhat of a disappointment (mostly due to it not living up to its Japanese counterpart very well), but Extreme 2 US is actually fairly good. If you don't have it, I'd say it's work getting if you play at home (these are often referred to as CS versions, by the way) frequently.
