Ive been wondering about the "marvellous" ratings in the oni and nonstop modes in this and extreme, why are they there and could you get a higher rating than AAA for getting all marvellous's? (or does any one even know? XD)

Marvelous has tighter timing than Perfect. This helps differentiate the great players from the really great players. This was probably done to help spread out the Internet Ranking and eliminate a lot of ties at the top of the charts.

Compared to Perfect, the timing required for a Marvelous makes it much more unlikely that a player would be able to obtain them as consistently. So between two players who could AAA a song, one of them would probably have at least one or two more Marvelous steps.

As for getting all Marvelous...I'm not sure that anyone has ever actually been able to attain such a ranking, but the game (Extreme) does not seem to have a special desgination for it. However, players generally refer to it as a AAAA. .

Ya, DDR does NOT have a higher ranking than AAA for all Marvellouses (it would be odd since usually Marvellouses only exist in Oni or Nonstop courses), but Stepmania and ITG both do; AAAA and 4-star, respectively.
