IndyDDR VS IIDX Double Play

Post by Amp Divorax » Sat Oct 15, 2016 6:15 pm

I broke down and bought the DJ Dao Real Double along with Sanwas+Omrons directly from Sanwa Denshi. Will be getting a 39" display and a custom mount shortly as well for this. Given how hellish Beet is in itself, the principle idea is more of us VS the song and all of us trying to clear it. Who would be down for this?

Week 1: Class Mode
Ho: 3rd Dan
Amp: 3rd Dan

Week 2: SigSig
Ho: 868 EX Normal, 947 EX Hyper (Failed)
Amp: 958 EX Normal

Week 3: Sayonara Heaven
Ho: 882 EX Normal, 995 EX Hyper
Amp: 1049 EX Normal, 1216 EX Hyper

I'll play. Much like the Merk challenge, it's a good reason just to get me to play and keep that machine from becoming a giant carpet weight.

I haven't played IIDX in years. Expect some seriously awful scores to start, but I'm game. 14 keys is where it's at.
A normality test:
+++ATH
If you are no longer connected to the internet, you need to apply more wax to your modem: it'll make it go faster.
If you find this funny, you're a nerd.
If neither of the above apply, you are normal. Congratulations.

The more the merrier on this. I'll have everything up and running by Friday night, but I don't what the best release would be or what the first song should be so one of you guys could probably select that.

Starting week one now with a simple challenge. Let's figure out how far each of us are on class mode and go from there with pics. I will update the first post with this.

I'm maxed out at 2nd Dan. I'm making the first song of the week SigSig as it appears on Empress + Premium Best and Infinitas in addition to everything Happy Sky and newer.

How are we scoring this bitch? I'm assuming EX score.

Were we supposed to play the Hyper? I couldn't even pass it. I got a 888, fwiw.

We are going by EX as it's quick and painless. As for charts, I just say let's do whatever we can as the Hyper chart kicked my ass too.

Current best on Normal:

I got a 694 on the Normal chart, but I think my game was a bit desynced. I was getting a ton of Goods...even for me!

For the newer games you are able to change the timing offset from the song selection now. I typically use a -0.2 for Infinitas as the timing on it is a bit early compared to the arcade releases.
