I just had a crazy brainstorm...

Since DDR seems to be all but dead in Indy, would anyone be interested in doing a meetup in Chicago once they get DDR A? We could make a field trip out of it like IndyDDR MAXBlast in the days of yore.

I need a Potter translator. Is that "no no no no no"?

Don't you want to road trip with us, Potter? You can sit in the back and ask if we're there yet and we can threaten to pull the car over or tell you to hold your pee.

I dun went and did it. It was everything I hoped it would be. We should absolutely plan a road trip. You would not be disappointed.

Which one did you go to?

And would it be possible to pressure our D&B to get one next year?

I went to Orland Park because it was the location that was confirmed up-and-running prior to my visit. However, I have seen pictures from the Addison location yesterday, so it seems like theirs is ready now, too. Last I heard, Vernon Hills was waiting for an Internet drop to connect their machine (that news was on Friday--haven't heard anything since).

But you read that right folks, these machines are on e-Amuse. I didn't bring my card with me, but I did confirm the ONLINE notification when I played and there were signs posted about purchasing cards. There was also licensed US music in the game. If you'll allow me to go out on a limb here...it's almost seems like Konami might be taking this US release seriously.
(note my use of almost, seems, and might :P)

Diamondback1996, would you be interested in/able to go on a trip up there? Given what I've gleaned from your posts here, I think you would really enjoy it!

As far as pressuring D&B to get a machine for our store...I'd really love that, but I don't know how to go about it or how effective it might be. However, one of the employees at the D&B I went to said there were people playing the machine all day from open to close on Friday. Hopefully it's popular enough that they do decide to order some more machines. That being said, when I went early Sunday evening, I only had to wait for one person to play before I was able to play two games in a row with no one waiting to play when I was done. But it wasn't particularly crowded in the store at that time either, so I'm not sure I can make any assumptions from that.

I most likely can't make it up there, sadly. :)

That said, most of the players in the area might be going to Round1 instead for obvious reasons.

Round 1 is great, but it doesn't have DDR A...yet.

Oh, I didn't know. Then they're probably just distributed throughout the three D&B locations up there that have it.

Alright Brian make a gathering happen! I'm down assuming I'm not gonna be busy. This weekend and labor day weekend are spoken for but I'm open the following weekend.
