Re: Merk vs. IndyDDR: What do this song and Orion.78 share?

Post by Ho » Mon Jan 09, 2012 4:01 pm

Hmm. It looks like only 5 songs. I thought it was a lot more than that. If I get ambitious (and I don't die or throw up in the process), perhaps I'll try to play them more than once.

So how'd you do?!?!

I played Burning Heat once last Friday and didn't AA it. My quads still kind of hurt (I think I pulled or hyper-extended them or something) but I'll make an honest effort into doing BH and V, posting my scores, and then get a new song in the pipeline.

We should've done Gorgeous 2012 for the week of the new year!

Re: Merk vs. IndyDDR: Yup, were still doing V and Burning Heat

I passed out in a food coma pretty much as soon as I got home last night. I'll try again tonight.

I'm good with Gorgeous 2012 for this week's song. It's still 2012...and gorgeous.

You're not late, I think you're just playing the wrong game for this thread. :)

Ok, did this tonight. It wasn't pretty. I wish I could say that I did what I said I was going to do and just played through each one once. But instead I think I played every song at least 3 times over the course of an hour or so. All but one of these scores is pretty dismal. So, here goes...

20, November 18 (I hope I did the right chart...I was playing on Extreme. It was the one with 20, November in huge letters and not the one with clotheslines in the background.)
Paranoia KCET ~clean mix~ 32 +3 non-combo
Candy (star) 31 +3 non-combo
Candy (heart) 20 +1 non-combo
Twin Bee 14
V 54 + 9 non-combo
Burning Heat 101 +12 non-combo

About the only thing I can say good about these scores is that all except Paranoia were substantially better than the scores I had in DD:recall (now Stay on Sync, I guess). So I'm better than I was in 2006...but still pretty terrible. :P

I'll start DDRin' when I fix it up. I can't even A songs I know very well on it right now. The plan is to take the cabinet to the new office game room when we move in a month. From there, I'll start working on it since it is abused at its current location.

THEN I WILL PLAY SOME DDR!

Gorgeous 2012, I'll update the OP tomorrow, I had the day off today! MLK died for my unpaid holiday.

OP has been updated. I had a great run on V until the very end where I flubbed up the 16ths that come right after the quick little "1-2-3, 1-2-3, 1-2-3, 1-2-3-4-5" part. I seriously had maybe 10 or so greats at most going into that part. Burning Heat is awful as always, I'm pretty sure the song is even more fucked up in Supernova but hey, whatevs. The runs are fairly easy to PA but the gallops are a complete guess.

At least Gorgeous 2012 is easy SDG fodder. Brian, I want you to SDG this song.

I did not play DDR this week since I was fretting over my little job interview. However, I should be able to get a round in Tuesday afternoon now that I will be spending a lot of time at the Wagner's abode.

Since DDR is now officially free play for me, we can expand this weekly shin-dig to include doubles. Yay!
