IndyDDR mentioned in Indianapolis Star

Post by Ho » Wed Nov 02, 2005 10:41 am

http://www.indystar.com/apps/pbcs.dll/a ... /511020480

The article itself has nothing to do with DDR or IndyDDR for that matter. The article is actually about Indy Hub, a new organization for young professionals in the Indianapolis area.

However, you'll find yours truly in the sidebar column of the article under the heading "5 people you ought to know." The description reads: "A list of five promising young professionals at the heart of the city's networking social groups." That's probably overselling me a bit. But hey, at least you're already 20% of the way toward knowing 5 people you supposedly ought to. ;)

Anyway, the reporter sent me a questionnaire to gather information for the article. One of the questions asked for an interesting factoid about myself. I mentioned IndyDDR since it's another social network I'm involved in even though the focus and target audience is arguably different. But I guess she decided to print it--URL and all. So IndyDDR gets some free press.

This article apparently also appears in today's (print) edition of The Indianapolis Star, but I haven't seen a copy of it yet.

That's wonderful being in there. I never really though of this as a "social hub" but I guess it is :D

For those of you who didn't get a chance to see the print version, I scanned the article out of the paper. It turns out that they did run a picture of me with my bio afterall.
