DDR Championship

Post by Fluffyumpkins » Sat Aug 28, 2010 12:08 pm

If anyone cares, there will be qualifiers for the DDR Championship here in Indy at TILT.

Will one of the ridiculous ITG players give the original, yet somehow entirely different game, a go and win some paper paper?

Really? That's lame. I just saw something about TILT and assumed this would be on DDR X or something.

a friend of mine talked to management a few days ago and was told the tournament would be held on DDRX. They were given a choice to use their machines or home versions. There is a printed packet of info laying around near the dance machines that has more information. I think I remember it being the 28th of this month but that seems odd since it's a tuesday.

Funny you should mention that. I actually wasn't sure if anyone here knew about this.

The arcade is the one hosting this tournament, so it's there rules. However Konami is the one who's pretty much sponsoring the whole thing. It's also been postponed to Oct. 2, which is NEXT Saturday. They tested me as a guinea pig to try out the pads and to set what songs would be played for what division.

According to Micheal, who is judging the tournament/laying out the rules/what have you, depending on the number of people who actually show to compete, they might throw the age requirement thing out and just go by Basic, Difficult, and Expert divisions. There are also preset songs for each division. So if you're planning on doing Expert, Expect to play a few 16s.

And YES. This WILL be played on the arcade cabinet.
This post is brought to you by BET...Because it's never too late to desecrate an ethnicity.

Only 4 people showed up to the tournament, so now me and my friend (who suck at the game), have to go to regionals.4 people showed up, but only 3 qualified!!!
Honestly though, their pads suck so you didn't miss much.
