Video Games Live!!!!

Post by Amp Divorax » Sat Jan 19, 2008 1:14 am

For those not familar with this particular event, Video Games Live is a concert that has classic videogame music fully orchestrated.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JVHGy9XEF9I is the 'Classic' medley.

Today, a concert date was announced for Fort Wayne on February 15th at 8:00 PM at the Embassy Theatre. Also, an Indianapolis event has been confirmed, but the date has not been announced yet. Would there be anybody interested in going to this?

I went to VGL when they were in Indy for GenCon last year, and it was extremely enjoyable. I'd recommend it to anyone interested in either music or games.

This would be something would something I would want to go see, but Fort Wayne is WAY out of the way to go to watch it.

I would definitely be up for it, if an Indianapolis date is confirmed that works for me.

I'm interested. Perhaps we could make an IndyDDR meetup if enough people are interested as well?

Once an Indianapolis date is announced I'll put info on it here as it seems to be the best location for a community-based event.

August 15th and 16th, as part of GenCon. Tickets on sale 'in April', so I'm guessing that means soon.

I wonder if that means you have to go/pay to GenCon, or is it a separate event that's just associated with it?

As I may have to ask for an RIDT just for VGL due to how retarded the Marines are, I'll probably end up going to GenCon now if I can find other people who would go with me.

It was part of GenCon last year, too. I went, and didn't need any GenCon ticket. In fact, it's wasn't even held in the convention center, but rather at that theater on Monument Circle (SE corner, I forget what it's called).

That said, I'm going!

That would be the aptly named Hilbert Circle Theatre, home of the Indianapolis Symphony. :)
