1) Middle of the Month is our slowest time at the arcade, so less loss (or good attraction) for the buisness.

2) US Pump Fest is like 2 weeks after and if we have it the week before less will show.

3) Can't be during the week cause of classes and all.

4) Cause Daniel picked that date, it is his machine, his buisness, his space.

but it's a tournament, so wouldn't it still bring in good money? and advertising it would get more people to come to it?

How come? I remember going to three or four successive DDR tournaments back in the day within a month; unless for some reason they would travel somewhere way off a week in advance for the Pump Fest...

Also, I would think i'd want to practice at a tournament to keep my skills sharp rather than just by myself (personal preference)

The Great X Scape never takes a cut from any tournament it runs, all the money brought it goes to the top players (or like last time, half went to Simon Youth Foundation, the other half went to the top players)

But it is the weekend before nationals and several players who normally would come are not going to come because it is so close to nationals.

This is pretty much THE reason, it is his arcade, his machine I told him like 3 potential dates he picked the 15th....end of story, if you can't make it we will sure to have more next year.
