I live somewhat near Pinheads--perhaps a 10-15 minute drive. However, I work on the west side of Indy which isn't anywhere near there at all.BigBadOrc wrote:If you're going to get there between 11 and 1 then I can stop by either pinheads or laserflash. I work on 96th street and eat lunch around then. I think Ho works around that area too...

Alright, me blackcat and Orc went up to Laserflash today. The pads are in great condition, and the staff even did us a favor and turned the volum up for us. Orc got the number to contact the owner of the place about holding a tourney and even downgrading the machine to r21 (its an r23 version). The only problem I could see is if there are alot of laser tag games that day or whatnot.

So we went to Laser Flash today...and minus the fact that it is an r23 machine, it is actually a good pad and a good location for an ITG tourney. The people I talked to that worked there were really accommodating, which I think is important when throwing a tournament.
The manager gave me their number and told me to call at a certain time when the owner of Laser Flash was around. He would be the one to talk to about the tournament. I think that both Pinheads and Laser Flash are both good locations. So scratch what I said in earlier posts about Laser Flash, because I guess I was thinking about another arcade.
Thoughts? Ideas?

Yeah.. they said the best time to talk to them is 8-noon. I suppose I could go in and talk to them tomorrow or friday. I'll probably print off the rules from GOM to give them as an example of what a tournament would be like.UnLiMiTeDmAxX wrote:Orc, since you have the number to Laser Flash (dont know if you've called them yet), you should go with the approach of them hosting Indiana's very first In The Groove tournament. Maybe that'll sway their decision. Spice it up or something!!!
The worker we talked to last night.. blackcat was like "hey can we put some songs on your machine" and he was like "yeah! let's do it" lol.. so i was wondering.. who did the fort wayne machine and would they be willing to do the laser flash one? I've found a lot of songs I'd like to see on there such as InsaneMidget's pack, a few from R21 freak, and of course the really hard ones like air, uber rave, emerald sword, etc.
