More Info Per Division:

Freestyle

One song…Give us one fantastic show, keep it clean, no stripping please, judging is based upon, showmanship, technique, and crowd responce.

Tech/Crazy
- Double Elimination with Qualifiers.

Qualifier Method:
Each person will pick from Arcade Station ONLY, one song on any mode (single or doubles). They will play that song and their score at the end of the song is recorded. Higher seeds will obviously have the highest scores out of everyone participating.

- Best 2 out of 3 songs per match. Higher seed chooses song, Lower chooses pad side, and the order is switched for the next song. If a third song is reached, a random song will be drawn. Winner is determined by score, not PA. If the random song arrives at a tie/double FPC, another random song will be drawn.

- A song may only be picked once by the same person in the duration of the tournament.

- No mods other than speed mods are allowed.

- As the tournament progresses, the easier songs will be unavailable to be chosen both in the tournament as well as random tiebreakers.

Here is the breakdown of song difficulty elimination as it pertains to tournament round:

All songs
1st Round
2nd Round Winner
1st Round Losers
7's, 8's and 9’s are eliminated from play
3rd Round Winner
2nd Round Loser
10's and 11's are eliminated
3rd Round Loser
4th Round Winner
12's and 13's are eliminated

The rest of the tournament continues normally, with no further eliminations. The final couple rounds will be all level 14 and higher songs (songs with 1 or more skulls are understood to be over 14s), until the final 6 players left, and the finals, where Nightmares will be played.

When the tournament reached the final six players, all tiebreakers will become remix/another step/full songs randomly chosen from the list at the end of this post

- The use of Bar will be allowed for the entire tournament this time around.

- The Finals will be a best 3 out of 5 Nightmare round, with all songs randomly chosen from a select list. EXPECT REMIXES/ANOTHERS/FULL SONGS. If a Remix or Full song is played, that song will account for 2 out of the 3 points needed for the round to the winner of the song.

I can't do them either....hell not all who go can...I go to hang out with everyone and try 250% and I know I won't win but at least I go and I have fun. And besides it is just the finals are nightmares, the rest are crazy and you can do some crazys better than I can..which is why you should go...at least you know you can beat me if we end up going aginst eachother.

Suffice to say, if you have it on the 26th, I won't be there.

A normality test:
+++ATH
If you are no longer connected to the internet, you need to apply more wax to your modem: it'll make it go faster.
If you find this funny, you're a nerd.
If neither of the above apply, you are normal. Congratulations.

Yeah....it is to late of notice for it to be the 26th....but since it is for Charity, the mall has to approve the day. I hope we get June the 9th, not to far into summer when people are going on trips and all.

More like Pump it Up-a-Thon 1 (or PAT1 for short) , the only reason this is a charity event is so we don't have to pay like $800 or so for the space. This way we just contribute a portion of the proceeds to the Simon Youth Foundation which there minimum is like $25 so we should have no problem reaching the minimum rather than paying A LOT for one day.

UPDATES
Today Daniel went to the mall office and told them about it. The Mall Manager said that any of the dates he gave her will work. But still we have to fill out the event form and all that jazz. I told Daniel to put June 9th as the date...that is so far the estimated date but when it is all set in stone I will post a confirmation post.

PRICE CHANGE
Daniel told them we would give them half the entry fee....so I am uping the cost $1 (and saving you $2). The original plan was $7 per event. So if you competed in Tech and Freestyle it would cost you $14...of which $4 would go to the SYF and $5 for the prize pool for tech and $5 for the prize pool for Freestyle. But since Daniel has told them 50% we have to stick to it. So the entry fee is now $8 for the Tech/Crazy Tournament, and if you want to be in the Freestyle Tournament it is an addition $4. So in short is $12 for it all, $4 goes to Simon Youth Founation and the rest go to the prize pools.

LONG STORY SHORT: $8 to enter the tourney, addition $4 for Freestyle.

FREESTYLE UPDATE
I recieved a responce from Jim today on how to do the freestyle judging (thanks Jim for that by the way ) , so now I know how to do so. I along with 2 other judges will grade your freestyle based one crowd responce (laughter, claping along, and applause at the end), showmanship (or how much you dance like a Ho), technique (if you actually hit the buttons in the process [no Mr. Larpus Another Nightmare for me]). Since the money you pay to enter the Freestyle Tournament does not go to charity we will split it amungst the top 3, probably like 50%,30%,20%.

LOCATION UPDATE
Ok so this is still not in stone yet either...but we are going to fill out for the space infront of Dick's Sporting Good. So most likely there, unless they feel generous and move us to the space infront of Target.
