Actually, it is...

What we know as Bust-A-Move here in the US is called Puzzle Bobble in Japan.

Since Ho helped clarify...this is what I am talking about.....who would be interested in a Bust A Move/Puzzle Bobble Tourney?

A spambot bumped this thread. (I deleted the bump post.) But it reminded me about this. Any developments? I'd be interested if it happened.

I'd rather play Bust a Groove. That game's awesome.

So... Is GXS going to hold another tournament for dancing games? DAT5 was fun and I demand another DDR/Pump tournament.

You see, a Bust a Move tournament would probably not stand on its own, but if it were at a larger tournament then I could see people signing up for it for shits and giggles. I know I would!

I think GXS should host the next Team Money Shot event. We need to get two more events done before AM will sponsor anything.

There are 2 things I am running by Daniel today......
1: Bust A Move Tourney (will be easy to persuade him to do)
2: a Pump it Up NX Tourney (which he may do, he has been talking about putting on another one...but still will take some work)

Daniel wrote:Due to upcoming construction, we will have to wait on any tournaments. But a Bust a Move Tourney will be fine and we can try hosting a Pump Tourney at a later date...but not for sure if we will carry through with it.
Pretty much....Bust A Move tourney will be carried out and planned but no date will be set until I know when construction is ending and all...and the Pump tourney is a possibility he is just affraid of the loss since he would have to move the machine out in the mall for space...but it will cost money to do so. Either we will have to find a way to make space for people at the arcade or pay for one of the center court spaces.

I, for one, have no problem with a portion of the entry fees going to at least help offset the cost of getting mall space. I know it's not cheap!

Yes, I know it lowers the prize amounts. But I easily get $5-10 worth of enjoyment out of a tournament regardless of whether I win anything just by having the opportunity to get together with lots of people.

As for inside the arcade itself, I agree it might be kinda cramped...but I wouldn't consider it an impossibility either. It just might take some shifting of things around and some extra seating. Or you could just move the machine to the front of the store and let people spill out into the mall. Though I'll bet the mall would not be at all pleased with that idea. ;)

He has to go to the vet that day.

EDIT: I'm down for just about any tourney.
