Megaplay Tournaments

Post by ***WILLIS*** » Sat Jun 24, 2006 12:51 am

Ok so we have a few tournies going on in July and August. Heres the dates:

Sunday July 9th, ITG2 Tourny at 3pm
Saturday July 15th, DDR Tourny at 3pm
Saturday July 22nd, DDR Tourny at 3pm
Saturday July 29th, ITG2 Tourny at 3pm
Saturday August 12th, ITG2 Tourny at 3p, (see seperate thread for details on this one)

Rules:

1.All DDR tournies will be random all, best 2/3.
All ITG tournies will have the format of top seed picking first or second song, then if a third song is needed, it will be chance.

2. Sandbagging is not tollerated at all. For those of you who dont know, sandbagging is where you can play on harder difficulty, but sign up for an easier one.

3. All Megaplay store rules apply before, after, and during the tournaments.

4. Winners for ITG tournaments will be determined by their percent after each song.
Winner for DDR tournaments is based on the dance points system, greats = 1, goods = 2, boos = 6, misses = 10, the one with less points wins.

5. You may use any non-disqualifying mods on ITG, and my use any mods on DDR, ut please note, solo must be confired by your opponent.

6. Sign up will be $1 in advance and $2 the day of. Please note tht these rates do not apply for the August 12th In The Groove tournament.

What are the divisions in ITG?

I'm going to play to be at the July 22nd one. I think.

Great no sandbagging. ;p

Hahahaha.

But I like this schedule. My brother might be able to make it one, but I still don't know his exact date of visiting.

I promise I won't sandbag on DDR.

However... I realized how much I suck at ITG since I've only played it like... 3 times. There will be levels for the ITG tourneys right (Easy, Medium, Hard)? That's not sandbagging. The only songs I know on hard on ITG are Bumble Bee and Typical Tropical because they're originally DDR/solo songs. >_<'

I didn't get it at first either...but it's just standard Dance Points figured in "reverse." I'm not sure why you'd want to do it that way, but the results would be the same.

willis, your trying to run a tournament off a broken system. you are a moron.

once you fix your point system is when you can attempt to make fun of me.

whats up with all of the fucking idiotic tournaments in indiana lately

i swear if a tournament holder tried to tell me a pad miss was -10 points and it was my fault i'd punch em in the face, take my entry fee back and leave.

In DP calculations, a miss is -8, and you don't get the 2 points for the perfect. The net effect is -10.

So the results of this system are the same as the recognized Dance Point caluclation...it's just being done in reverse. Why? I don't know. Perhaps they like scoring DDR like golf--lowest score wins.

I'd say when you stop acting like a bitchy, immature 11 year old, is when he should stop making fun of you.

If you don't approve of somebody's point system then you should critique it in a mature way. Maybe make a suggestion, instead of just calling people names.
