I apologize if this ends up being spam, but I just wanted to toss an FYI for anyone coming to Reactor (formerly Anime Reactor) this year, or happens to be in Chicago during the same weekend.
The Reactor DDR tourney (tentatively named of course)
When: Saturday October 22, 2005. Time TBA (but expect around 1PM)
Where: Reactor gameroom (in the Purple Hotel, for directions, see link at the bottom of this post)
Purple Hotel is located at
4500 W. Touhy Ave
Lincolnwood, IL 60712
Why: Why not?
How: DDR Extreme (arcade)
Format:
Singles Perfect Attack.
If there's a demand for Freestyle, then so be it.
As time-honored nature, it'll be my modified NCAA format, top-seed VS mid-seed, top picks song, lower picks difficulty+mods.
Qualifier will be announced less than a week before the con.
Prohibited mods:
DDR - BPMs 60-130, Above 3x. 130-200 BPM, above 2x. 200-333BPM, above 1.5x. Stealth, and Sudden combined with boost or speed mods (except on songs lower than 101BPM, where 1.5x is allowed). Little is acceptable only under mutual conditions (both entrants must agree).
Entry fee: Well, if you're in the con, then...
Prizes: 1st and 2nd prize only, maybe a 3rd depending on what's available.
Other snippets:
I'm hoping to add some things to throw off the brackets a little, just for kicks. This'll ensure the tournament being a bit different, so that at least people will also have fun watching. Example: playing a song with ANOTHER song playing. We'll see how the idea flies.

As for ITG...well I'm not using that banner for no reason either =P
