The poster of that commercial is pretty f'n awesome on classic Beatmania and would probably destroy it outright if he played it on The Final or one of the BMIII releases.

I was referring to the guy in the commercial itself. He was using multiple fingers to hit single keys. I was amused. I also noted that they showed no actual gameplay screens in that commercial. 5-key beatmania was never much to look at, but still...curious.Amp Divorax wrote:Actually....

Oh, I'll hit keys with multiple fingers sometimes, too. It's just that you really start to need your fingers separated as you progress through the levels--especially if you play one-handed or doubles (both of which I do).
I just found his particular style rather amusing. He might as well have been playing in mittens.

I'm sure that's true, but I didn't find it a handicap at all, and I could pass several 7* songs.Ho wrote:Oh, I'll hit keys with multiple fingers sometimes, too. What scale are you following on difficulty? The old 7 star scale, the 8 star scale, or the 12 star scale?danc1005 wrote:I'm sure that's true, but I didn't find it a handicap at all, and I could pass several 7* songs.Ho wrote:Oh, I'll hit keys with multiple fingers sometimes, too.
