'rollout' timeframe revealed for IIDX 15

Post by Amp Divorax » Tue Nov 06, 2007 1:46 am

Recently Konami's official website for DJ Troopers was finally opened and featured a graphic stating '2007 Roll Out', confirming that it should be out in the next 2 months most likely. I will post more information when it becomes available about this sudden turn of events.

I have bumped this as courtesy of the Bemaniwiki @http://voiddd.com/wiki/ (Use whatever translator necessary for this page) I have more news on this release.

First off, there is a strong rumor going around that the monitor used for IIDX has been changed from 34" to a 37" monitor. I don't have any information on what type of monitor yet, but I'll try to get more information as soon as possible.

Also, it appears that The Deep Striker will not have an another notechart in the official release which I find rather surprising that such a decision was made. Then again, the Hyper notechart is already over 1500 notes and it's an 11 so I don't want to know what they did have in mind for the another.

Edit: Another note is that it seems that the timing will be the same as IIDX Gold with the Beat 3 update which made the timing similar to the CS releases and as a result, made it so that Dolce was getting 100% on everything under 11! (I'm not joking, I've seen the world record database and it's pretty insane!)

Well, I will state that they did a good job with the theme overall. Personally though I still don't like the name and I don't want to see digital camo outside of work.

Edit:

Two songs from DJ Troopers were made available on Konami's Japanese mobile website. To make life easier, some users with access to it have made the songs available for listening courtesy of youtube:

The Deep Striker!
- Another Guhroovy inspired L.E.D.-G song, but this one is definitely better than Outer Limits Alternative

High-altitude, low-altitude descent open umbrella (This is the best translation I got of 高高度降下低高度開傘)
- Rumored to be a remix from Metal Gear Solid 3 (As I have never played that series, I cannot confirm this.)
- Surprisingly good song that fits the theme pretty well.

On the Bemanistyle front page, they're listing the new songs and there's two new songs by RAM. All I can say is that I'll believe it when I see it and I want to see them now.

[HYPER JAPANESQUE 2] 華爛漫 -Flowers- - TЁЯRA ?/?/? ?/?/?

EXTRA STAGE SONG:(?)
[DANCE SPEED] Time to Air - 青龍 ?/?/11 ?/?/?

Like the last two games, this has a E-Amuse Extra Stage capability. For this release though it's called 'Military Splash Songs':

[PROGRESSIVE BAROQUE] Übertreffen - TAKA respect for J.S.B. ?/?/12 ?/?/? (I remember playing this on Pop'N 14!!!!)
[FUSION] ミラージュ・レジデンス - Jimmy Weckl ?/?/? ?/?/? (GF crossovers suck so I'm not holding out much hope for this)

As for the OMES, I have to re-interate that Konami shouldn't be using crossovers as boss songs.
[SUPERNOVA2 BEAT #1] PARANOiA ~HADES~ - αTYPE-300 ?/?/? ?/?/?

Finally, the rumors of the monitor change are true. As displayed on the Japanese site and on Bemanistyle, the new monitor being used is a flat panel display. I can't confirm anything else about the new monitor at this time.

When vids start appearing on youtube I'll link to them.

Here, have a jank cell phone picture of some Japanese guy playing DJ Troopers.

Aww, I didn't read the e-amuse loading screens, just kept on pushing 'hai', and deleted my previous IIDX save data. Oops.

Anyway, from the games I played it seemed to simply be a camouflaged version of Gold with the aforementioned new songs.

I can't quite tell from the picture, but it looks like it's returning closer to the enormous, pre-10th Style size. Certainly the giant bezel is gone.

Maybe my monitor selection for my machine was actually forward-looking rather than retro. :P

Ho, I don't think yours was forward looking cause the new monitor is only 37" whereas you got one that is too large for me to do decent 14 key gameplay on.

Are you sure on that size? The monitor in the product picture seems to fill the space under the arch similarly to mine.

Image Image

Also, do you know if they're using an LCD? I would hope so. I rejected LCD for mine because I wasn't satisfied with the contrast ratio (at least in the price range I was willing to spend). But they've made some good strides in that regard over the past year, and LCD would be a much more problem-free technology for an arcade environment than plasma.

The picture alone shows that it's definitely not as tall. Also, the width of the viewing area on the monitor is another give away of it being a smaller size.

I disagree. Mine is simply mounted higher in the space. In the product picture there is less space between the top of the effector panel and the bottom of the picture, and the picture starts horizontally in roughly the same place (just inside the handles) on both.

Well, if you have access to the games, I recommend playing Happy Sky and DistorteD as all the newer releases have a timing sync option which helps for those people with shitty displays. (Pop'N 13 and newer also have this option.)

Also, I will mention that Paranoia Hades is a bitch!

Edit: Ok, here are how the 'Military Splash Songs' have been structured:

Military Splash #1:
[PROGRESSIVE BAROQUE] Übertreffen - TAKA respect for J.S.B. ?/?/12 ?/?/?
[FUSION] ミラージュ・レジデンス - Jimmy Weckl ?/?/? ?/?/?
[SUPERNOVA2 BEAT #2] TRIP MACHINE PhoeniX - DE-SIRE ?/?/? ?/?/11

Military Splash #1 OMES:
[ULTIMATE CORE] TROOPERS - Des-TRACT ?/?/? ?/?/? (WTF, Des-Row in IIDX?)

Military Splash #2:
[N-BEATS] Do it!! Do it!! - Kraken
[BREAK CORE] STEEL NEEDLE - Scorpion
[JUNGLE] Four Pieces of Heaven - Lion
[NU-SKOOL BREAKBEATS HARDCORE] Icarus - Eagle

Military Splash #2 OMES:
[IRREGULAR HI-BREAK] MENDES - Humanoid
