IIDX 11 or 12?

I'm about to FINALLY get my IIDX controller back from my cousin.
I'm excited and bummed. Beatmania US sucks so hard.

I'm aware that IIDX Happy Sky is out now. Also IIDX Red has been out for a while now too.

I dunno if I should get Happy Sky or Red. Is there US and JP versions of both atm? which one should i get.

Edit: I just read Amp's review on Happy Sky.. since I'm a beginner.. uh..

The only US version of IIDX is BMUS. All the other releases are Japan only. RED is a fine version.

If you can clear 5s then go for Happy Sky, if you can't though you will want to spend some time on RED first.

Alright so I've been playing some IIDX Red for a few days. How do I unlock new note bursts in the customize menu? I want the fire one, but i have no idea how to get them. :[

Gamefaqs says
"- Note Bursts: The two note bursts will unlock when you clear 1-dan and 8-
dan respectively. Whether you play on Single or Double doesn't
matter."

i don't know.

The quickest way to unlock everything is by playing through all of the classes and expert courses. I know the final unlock comes from 8th Dan which really sucks cause the final song for 8th Dan in RED is Gigaf*cker!
