12 Style - Happy Sky CS Announced

Just those three? I thought it was everything before 9th?
I picked up 3rd-8th as a unit on eBay, 9th and 11th at Play-Asia when they were moderately sale-priced, and 10th... I don't remember where or when I got 10th. But it's right here on my Bountiful Bookcase of Bemani Bliss, so I clearly got it at some point.
Anyway, when I checked out Play-Asia, I distinctly recall their not having anything before 9th listed as available. What gives?

There's a place out in Hawaii called Toys and Joys that often manages to acquire copies of older Bemani, sometimes new old stock. Their prices aren't particularly good on anything you can buy from the more well known import sites (play asia, lik-sang before they closed, yesasia, etc.), but they often manage to find stuff, even if it's used.

If you are no longer connected to the internet, you need to apply more wax to your modem: it'll make it go faster.
If you find this funny, you're a nerd.
If neither of the above apply, you are normal. Congratulations.

There's no reason you should be paying their prices for most of this stuff, though - in particular, I see no reason to pay $60+ for the older Beatmania games when you can find them in mint or near-mint condition for $30-$40.MonMotha wrote:There's a place out in Hawaii called Toys and Joys that often manages to acquire copies of older Bemani, sometimes new old stock. Toys'n'Joys is generally a last resort. None of the old IIDX games are THAT hard to find; just watch Bemanistyle and/or eBay for a week or so.
Riot, in case you're serious:
(1) American is not a language.
(2) Which game?

Yeah, sorry, it should have been obvious to me what he meant. I guess I was still thinking about the older games we were talking about obtaining.

True, their prices usually aren't good. I said that, in fact. It's a decent alternative for people who don't want to buy off random people they don't know on a forum and dislike ebay for one reason or another.Arka wrote:There's no reason you should be paying their prices for most of this stuff, though - in particular, I see no reason to pay $60+ for the older Beatmania games when you can find them in mint or near-mint condition for $30-$40.
Personally? I'll stick with ebay and people I semi-somewhat know from forums.

We have 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th and I speak american.Arka wrote:Fair enough. You did say that their prices are "not the best," I just felt compelled to quantify - it seems like a bit of an understatement for a 100% premium.MonMotha wrote:True, their prices usually aren't good. Wait, since when do you actually buy things from people on forums? I can't imagine that anyone from IndyDDR has ANYTHING in their Bemani collection you don't (save maybe Brian, who's special), much less anything they feel like selling, and while I guess it's conceivable for the BYOAC folks, there aren't very many Bemani specialists there.MonMotha wrote:Personally? That said, I stick with eBay and people I semi-somewhat know from forums, and I actually do actively buy this stuff. So I encourage the importers of tomorrow to try it, too.

Yeah, the forums were Not Quite Right In The Clock on Friday. The best part was, I couldn't post until 1:32 Saturday morning because... it was too soon after my last post!Pheonixguy wrote:What the hell... i posted that after you did, because i read it before you posted. I would be shocked - shocked - if MonMotha lacked any of those mixes.Riot wrote:We have 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th and I speak american.
