How do I unlocked arcade?

According to this and this the IIDX 4th style machine at Putt-Putt is still locked and many songs and courses have been left unplayed. For example, I've never seen Kamikaze, Ultra High-Heels, or Broken My Heart in Free Mode, Arcade Mode, or even in Expert Mode.

How does one unlock these songs? I'm sure the answer is somewhere on Konami's official site, but I can't make heads or tails of that crazy Japanese moon language. Any help is appreciated!

Some machines require a code to unlock the machines. GameFAQs has some codes, but I don't know.

The IIDX 4th Style page mentions getting a 222 combo (on one song, can't use an Expert course) or a 573 combo (again, on one song, can't use an Expert course). 3rd or 5th Style required you to get a certain # combo to unlock songs, maybe 4th is the same.

Absolute light 7 has 590-something keys, as an FYI.

573 combo + clear in one song unlocks everything on the home version; i know that much

only problem is in 4th style there's like 3? songs where you can get that long of a combo. have you tried clearing a 6/7 star song in arcade mode? that's how 6th style gives you extra stage

Yes, that would solve pretty much every problem I have with the machine, except this one.

Anyway, I checked 4th Style AC on GameFAQs but it didn't tell me anything I already knew. I'll try the 573 combo thing the next time I go, I don't remember ever breaking a 573 combo outside of expert mode at the arcade mainly because most songs have less than 573 notes.

I usually break a 222 combo when I play, maybe that's why I sometimes find Jam & Marmalade and Minimalian in arcade mode?

I really want to play those hidden expert courses.

Breaking a 573 combo unlocks 250bpm FOR THAT ROUND ONLY. So if you want to play 250bpm in arcade mode you have to get at least a 573 combo on a single song, which is no simple task on this style, every time you play.

I still don't know how to get those expert courses, or other songs for that matter.

have you tried hitting VFX or whatever on the expert course to see if it'll flip to the backside course? i haven't played with 4th arcade so i'm not familiar with how the arcade con works with the iface...try mashing a few buttons!

i have hit the VEFX button on there when selecting an expert course and it takes me to a different course than what the screen says. if you do the 5th course while holding it, you play Schlagwerk[a], Starmine[a], R5[a], Holic[a], and The Safari 7K. im not sure about Starmine but i think thats it. its basically the HELL course from 3rd style. or is this not what you are talking about???

No no, the backside courses (the ones you get from hitting the VEFX button) are different than the hidden courses listed on Konami's site. Oh, and the HELL course has Era (nostal mix) [a] as the second song instead of Starmine [a].

i wasnt sure if it was Starmine or not but i just thought id throw it in. but nostalmix another is so much funner than starmine anyway. are you just looking at the konami official site for the info on 4th style???
