Here's hoping they don't castrate this like...well, every Bemani game made specially for the US market.

Yeah, I think they don't realize that the US Bemani fans like Bemani games specifically because they ARE Japanese and are a step beyond the difficulty level of most US music games. Attempts to 'dumb down' the Bemani games or add U.S.-friendly songs usually backfire. (except Beginner mode on Beatmania, which is awesome because now my 7 year old can enjoy it  )

...which would rather completely defeat the purpose of pop'n music to me. Playing it on a standard handheld controller is 1) rather difficult and 2) not nearly as much fun as bashing one of the largest hand-operated video game controllers in common usage to bits.

If neither of the above apply, you are normal. Congratulations.

Moar rumors, and this time they talk about BEYOND THE EARTH being in the game! (That's right, Nekomata Master may make his US Bemani debut!)

As for my opinion on the game...... I will talk about it on the Bemani Playthroughs channel tonight, but to summarize everything I'm going to say 9 button ASC or GTFO!

I'd say the chances for a specialized controller being made for an XBLA game are slim to none.

I'm surprised that you'd think there'd be a slim chance.

Well, I don't really, but why shoot down someone's hopes and dreams?
And, who knows, ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN RIGHT?

WRONG!

http://www.bemanistyle.com/index.php/ne ... ideous-932 has officially confirmed what we were afraid of. This looks FUCKING HIDEOUS!

So instead of going with the established art style used for Pop'N they went with this godawful Brats looking crap? I don't care how bad Konami of America has been in the past, this just is a new level of crap from these dopes who obviously don't care about their fanbase. (Contra 4 was a WARCRIME against that classic series and it was made by KoA, so I have every right to hate them eternally!)

yeah I bought this game, just cause I thought....ok a pop n knock off, with 360 controller, I had a million extra points laying around and I don't use many of them so I decided wth. OH DEAR GOD, for starters it is INSANELY easy, the hardest song is Beyond the Earth, and it BARELY an 11 on 5 key (this is using legit pop'n scale). They have another feature where you can hook up your x-box live cam and play like kinda para para style I guess ( I dunno what it looks like, I don;t have a live cam to find out ). The game itself just looks hideous. I want my live points that I have had since march back...lol.

Between this release and the 4 Bemani album releases happening this winter I really do wonder why the f*ck have they not even announced Pop'N 15 CS yet?
