Actually, only 10-12 seem to exhibit those problems (with 10 not working at all). 9 runs fine, though some people claim it desyncs. 7, 8, and Best Hits all work perfectly.

If neither of the above apply, you are normal. Congratulations.

I know there are some versions of HD Loader (mostly via the Independence Exploit, ie the memory card method) that allow the user to control disc read speeds and such to a greater degree. I've heard that it is supposed to help with many sync and load issues, but I've not used it. Does anyone have any feedback? It would be nice to know, and pretty handy if it panned out.

I got those for that very reason. Best Hits was pretty blah, and 6 hurt my eyes to the point that I just didn't want to play it. I really can't recommend either for purchase. You may borrow mine if you just want to log the scores.
I don't know when I'll be back in your area as I'm supposed to finally find out when my new contract begins before the end of the month. Most likely I'll hold off on that for now and work on 7-9 and 12-14.

As for being better, I don't really know if I can really call myself good or not as I need to see where I stand compared to other regular players. I know that due to my experience of playing IIDX I am able to time the game with no problem at all. (I also know that unlike most american players I have cool grading turned on in 13 and 14 to help me improve precision in Taisen Mode since that is the mode used in Konami's official Pop'N tournaments.)

Not as pimped-out as Ho's controller, but that's still VERY nice. :)

Yeah, today while playing it the rubber feet apparently don't do much good on the surface I puy it on which is the old controll panel of an old arcade machine, it used to hold fine but it slid off today somehow, so since I don't actually travel much with my pop n controller, I am going to mount the buttons onto the cabinet. and keep the controller shell so if I need to take it somewhere I can just move the buttons back
