Why do you want/need an MSU? At this point, it's really only required if you want to link to Guitar Freaks 2nd-11th (and you need the corresponding drummania version, of course). Finding one will not be easy, but they're fairly easy to hook up if you do.

If you are no longer connected to the internet, you need to apply more wax to your modem: it'll make it go faster.
If you find this funny, you're a nerd.
If neither of the above apply, you are normal. Congratulations.

Well guys, there may or may not exist some files on a certain website that require an MSU to be present on your cabinet in order to work.

I literally know nothing about MSUs so I wasn't sure if it was something cheap and easy to obtain. Now I know! Maybe someday Chad won't be "in bed with a fever" when a certain someone is coming over to his house to help set up a certain videogame on a certain cabinet for a certain fat dude who he met on a certain messageboard.

Certainly.

If these certain files on certain websites are what I'm guessing you're referring to, the vast majority of them have been altered to NOT require an MSU.

Some of them have, yes, but I cannot find a "no MSU" iteration of 10th mix, which is really the only one I'd want since I am rolling with 9th right now.

I might dabble with putting 8th in since allegedly that mix had a good number of songs that didn't carry over to 9th because their license ran out of whatever Konami's excuse was.

Dang:

Yeah there's a shload of songs on here that didn't make it on 9th for whatever reason. Chad, if you ever become so inclined to burn a DM 8th disc then you have my blessing. I've not sure what's involved in changing mixes though, do you just plop the disc in or do you have to install it? Apologies for my ignorance.

Did MonMotha and Tau end up doing anything to my little DM cabinet after I had scooted off to bed? I played it the next morning and didn't notice too much of a difference but I could just be good at adjusting.

The changes that were tested made no difference. Your PC is just busted.
