Hello all,

I used to be on DDRFREAK years ago, when this game was actually popular and upon returning it seems that site is no longer active. Hello INDYDDR =]

I'm from Australia, Melbourne and as with anything from Australia we are always second best to any fad compared to the US and Asia. There was never a huge fad with DDR here although there were some tournaments which i went to back in the day.

I'm trying to re-live my childhood dream of owning a 7th mix Arcade machine. I'm in bidding to buy one this weekend and there are some errors with it which hopefully i can fix and refurbish, namely an error 189. I'm hoping to get some tips if i run into anything too difficult.

I doubt this game will ever peak again but i long to re-live moments in the comfort of my home... in the dark... alone... with my machine (assuming i win the bid).

This will by my first arcade machine and defintely not the last.

Jason

Welcome. The scene here isn't what it used to be, but we all still get together now and again for arrow smash mans. There are at least 4 DDR machines in private ownership in Indianapolis alone, so you should be able to get answers to your questions.

I like the idea that IndyDDR has become the new DDRfreak and this is where people go to have their random questions answered.

Welcome! I like Australia, out of all the political leaders in the world I think that Australia's is the most attractive.

I was trawling (as opposed to trolling) on the forums and have read a few of the threads. I can already gather Merk has bad taste in women due to his comment above ! i kid.

It's good to know there are a few of us left. It never became really big in AUS so it's sort of my dirty little secret...

Anyway, i hope i bring my 2 cents worth of things from an aussie perspective.

If I make an AU q&a thread, will you entertain my questions about the culture 'down under'?

If you'd like. You will find there isn't much difference except for working conditions and different welfare systems.

we're better in both =]
