Hi everyone! I'm Max in Bloomington...

So this morning I was playing PiU at GreatXScape and talking to Daniel, who suggested I post something on here... which is a good idea because I've been lurking for about a year and a half.
I'm in my second year at IU, play ItG and Pump, and lack transportation. So if anyone from Bloomington is planning to head up north to play, let me know and I'll go and pay for gas or something. I actually know someone else from IU who plays (though he's never visited this site) and might be interested too.
Yeah, also hit me up if you just live here and play Pump. That'd be cool too.
Hi!

Hi Max. Merk will be by to shortly to give a long winded and awkward welcoming to the internet.

Welcome to IndyDDR! :D

Since you mentioned you want to come up north, we have quite a few arcades here. The main one is TiLT Stuidio; it has DDR X, SN2, USA, and a Beatmania 5th Mix. It also has a bunch of racing games, shooters, fighters (they even have SSFIV [not Arcade Edition]), and redemption (like you care about these) games. The BEMANI machines are very well maintained (except the USA, because it's not really worth it because not many regulars play it). As for ITG, there's a few ITG2s up north (Noblesville and Carmel), and TiLT may get one in the near to somewhat distant future (we'll probably get DDR X2 before ITG2). As for PiU, there's Dave & Busters, which has Pro 2. AFAIK, Incredible Pizza (X-scape) has a NX(something) and a DDR EXTREME. I recommend going to TiLT, as they've fixed the X up as best as they can (Bad pad design X|) and it has edits enabled, so you can make ITG-like charts for DDR songs if you want.

Hope this helped. :)

Yeah, thanks. I don't play much other than ItG and PiU, though Beatmania would be interesting as I've never tried it.

I just noticed that rape is an anagram of pear. Pears suck.

This will only lead down to a road of frustration, pissed off room mates, hurt joints, and choking in tournaments where you're clearly the favorite to win.

Other than that though it's a fun game that's still pretty niche in the US! People still "WTF HOW DO YOU DO THAT?!?!" at Beatmania. No one does that for DDR anymore... :(
