Pump It Up NX ABSOLUTE
Andamiro has released an intro video for the next version of Pump It Up:

sorry about the hideous image...I screen capped it from the video
Apparently the title is Pump It Up NX ABSOLUTE. Andamiro must have something against the number 3...
Exceed, Exceed 2, Exceed 3? No! Zero!
NX, NX2, NX3? No! NX ABSOLUTE!
Whatever.
I'm glad to see they're sticking to their schedule of a new release every year. It's always nice to have some new content to play. However, I'm disappointed with their logo design. They're back to making Pump It Up a footnote. I'm sure people unfamiliar with the game will read this as NX Absolute Pump...which makes even less sense than the actual title does already.
The NX2 logo did a nice job of making the Pump brand prominent and made reading the title easy for people not familiar with the game.
NX was a little ambiguous, but not the worst.
Zero wasn't too bad. Pump It Up is kind of faded out, but at least the order is clear.
Exceed 2 was a disaster. I can't tell you how many times I heard it called "2 Exceed 2". You have to search really hard just to find the words Pump It Up and the Pump logo is completely absent.
Their art department generally comes up with stuff that looks pretty good. They just often don't read very well. But I guess I shouldn't be surprised given all the delightful engrish sprinkled around the cabinets and in the games.

I TOO am quite miffed about that logo. Especially after they nailed it on the head with NX2.

Is this the New Xenesis Absolute, or the Next Xenesis Absolute?

Watching the video it is nice to hear they are still obsessed with gun sounds.
I hope they use more of the usb device, maybe save screenshots or at least better record of the scores, as opposed to just the money score....on NX2 it didn't even tell you what difficulty it was played on, just SONG - SCORE - DATE PLAYED...kinda lame IMO
It looks a lot nicer on screen
World Max looks the same, except 3 little continents added on to the left side of the map

Re: Pump It Up NX ABSOLUTE
So far, I am not too pleased that they are simply adding on to what is already on NX2 in terms of World Max. I heard that all of the current missions will remain to be the same. I guess that is not such a bad thing when you consider the majority of players are not finished with the current missions. But this leaves very little replay value for players that have already completed all of NX2 World Max. Maybe they will add another button to flip between World Max and Dark World Max like the switch for Shantomia and Dark Shantomia.
Yea, I'm like Mother Teresa, except I pwn.

Look in that picture up there, it looks like they added FOUR new continents to WorldMAX. There's also two switches now.
Re: Pump It Up NX ABSOLUTE
Right, but all of the missions of NX2 WorldMax have been left unchanged. That just seems a bit lazy for AM to do that. Unless the new switch changes more than one continent, there really is not that much added to the game. Of course, maybe they decided to actually focus on Arcade Station again. There just is not enough information released to make an accurate judgment.
