so now that I have played it some +'s (pluses) -'s (minuses) from me about NXA:

+ 5x Speed mod
+ Tell Me slipped in somehow
- The charts for Tell Me still suck
- If you didn't play any world max on NX2 you have start ALL the way back at the beginning sadly
+ Brain show is challenging and fun
- Chopsticks Challenge is the WORST song to this mix!!!
That is all I have for now really.

Ok so a bit more in depth review of what I have played/seen Tim play of the new songs.

Yahpp - Blaze Emotion
All around an Amazing song. This has to be the BEST new Crazy on the machine, it is just very good, it does some odd BPM change things for show but does not do it to the point of screwing you up. Tim said the nightmare was hard but still a good chart.

Yahpp - Cannon X.1
The crazy is ok, a stamina breaker at most but not all that difficult (yet to see the nightmare)

Yahpp - Chopsticks Challenge
Have not played ANY of these charts cause the song is just WAY to annoying sounding to play

Big Bang - La La La
Good nightmare for this one, decent Crazy

Eun Ji Won - Adios
Good crazy, but a fantastic nightmare chart

Banana Girl - Chocolate
Simple and Easy (the anothers are REALLY fun)

DJ Missill - Forward
This could possibly be the best Nightmare for this mix (IMO), it double tempos though so it runs in the 180-190 range. The Crazy is good as well (no double tempo) and full of fun turns. All around an excellent song.

Sam-I-Am - Uprock
Harder than it looks on crazy, all in all a let down cause it is just to hard to get used to the stutter

Gyfted - Crazy
The Crazy is turny goodness (the nightmare has yet to be attempted)

Big Metra - Panuelito Rojo
The nightmare is all I have seen of this, it looked fun except it double tempos as well all the way through. The chart looked good up until there is a really insane run in the middle but still didn't look like it was a bad chart.

Pxndx - Procedimiento Para Llegar a un Comun Acuerdo
Another Great song. The Crazy and Nightmare are both really good charts.

Tico - Pump Breakers
The nightmare didn't look bad except once again it double tempos about half way through, so you play the first half on 120, then it shoots up toe 240

Jang Na Ra - Bad Habit (Chinese Version)
An adorable song with simplistic charts, a good addition.

Steve Yoo - Breakin' Love
Great nightmare, the crazy was just ok.

All in all this mix seems to cover a lot of middle ground, like they don't seem to be aiming for just the hardcore high end players in this mix (yes there are a couple songs that are on the tough side, but they still don't compare to like Chimera or 2-2). There are several nightmares from the 9-12 range, it just seems like they didn't try to make this mix excessively hard like they have the past couple mixes.

I honestly don't see why you hate Chopsticks Challenge. I don't mind the song at all, and I enjoyed playing both the nightmare and the crazy.

As for Uprock... The nightmare is fun. However, the crazy chart is flat out retardalicious.

Exceed, Exceed 2, Exceed 3? No! Zero!
NX, NX2, NX3? No! NX ABSOLUTE!
This just might be a dancing game thing. Was there a Max 3 or SuperNOVA 3?

Dance Dance Revolution 3rd Mix
(and 3rd Mix Plus, for that matter)

...and if you want to stray into the broader music game category...

Beatmania 3rd Mix
Beatmania IIDX 3rd Style
GuitarFreaks 3rd Mix
DrumMania 3rd Mix
KeyboardMania 3rd Mix

Well, don't forget Prex 3/Premiere 3. Even Andamiro has been known to use "3" sometimes.

Oh, and of course there's "beatmaniaIII". That's got three "written all over it".

Then again, PPP and DMX never made it to 3rd Mix.
