(the actual talk about) Pump it Up Pro

Post by lgolem » Mon Sep 24, 2007 7:53 pm

Since the locked thread due to unnecessary drama and more unnecessary drama, I figured I would start a thread for those who want to say something about pump it up pro that aren't just blatant attacks on something they haven't tried, or making attacks on other players.

There is somewhat funny yet cool feature called Accelerondo, whey the better you play the faster the rate of the song goes, and the worse you do the slowere it goes. Katy tried it out:

Oh, I saw a video of a guy playing Energizer (CZ?) on that.
It was pretty insane.

There's a cap to how fast it goes, right?

you know, had this feature been brought up in the previous debate, that would have been a HUGE new feature that pump pro would have over every other dance game ever made.

hell, that feature is enough to get me to want to try the game, regardless of that horrible song in the video.

All I have to say is that it was fun. I like St. Peters. It was Pro. woo.

I'm really freaking depressed. I'm going to post again when I don't quite feel so shitty and upset.

I tried it on Hard and I failed, it went way to slow for me to play.

Will it be at all possible for PRO to be available as an upgrade for those locations that can't afford the entirely new cabinet? And on that same line, I wonder if you could forcibly make it happen...

From what I understand, there should be upgrade kits available sometime down the line, but right now they're just pushing the new machines.

Cabinet Buttons FTW

I think we should make a road trip to either Naperville or St. Peters again soon :D

I vote Napersville. The Brunswick there is a music gamers paradise. They have Supernova, ITG2, Pump: Pro, and Percussion Master. They also had Drum Mania and Guitar Freaks for play testing when we went Sunday. I am not sure if they are there permanently though.
Yea, I'm like Mother Teresa, except I pwn.

Drum Mania and Guitar Freaks are just there as a location test right now. They'll probably just keep them for awhile and then get rid of them, just like they did with Gold and SN2. Until then though, they're fully accessible for play.

Also, why is Yohei so damn good at Drum Mania?! :?
